How about this: she can be on my fucking equality posters when she apologises for the transphobic remarks she made on twitter. Yeah, Katy, it’s all very safe and cute for you to genderfuck, because at the end of the day, you’re cisgender and you have no concept of the oppression some people face over their identities.

It’s a pity she’s a hypocrite, because it’s a really cute outfit.

This photo really angers me…like, is she doing this to distract people from what she said? Who does she think she is?

It’s one thing to be a homophobic, sexist, transphobic asshole. But to act like you’re some sort of advocate for the outcasts/misfits of society when you clearly aren’t? To pretend that you’re some sort of gay rights advocate, after making disgusting amounts of money on songs like “I Kissed A Girl” and “Ur So Gay”?

I really hate hypocrisy. It’s pretty hilarious how upset she got over the sacreligious imagery in Lady Gaga’s “Alejandro” video while she writhes around butt naked in the majority of her videos. Oh yeah, you’re quite a pious little role model, aren’t you?

The above comments pretty much sum up Katy Perry’s homophobia/transphobia.

Plus this and this. That just ties it all up with a pretty little ribbon… I just… can’t deal with her.

Just a thought, but you can be an advocate for homosexual rights and equality and still be a genuine “transphobe.”

I, myself, am a homosexual and I am not comfortable around transgendered people. I’m not going to go around making jokes or insulting anyone for how they live their life, but it’s kind of stupid for anyone to say she can’t be an advocate for homosexual rights and equality when homosexuals and transsexuals are not the same group of people.

I’d have to disagree with you Steven, it’s the LGBT community. They are a part of our group too.

I also disagree with this Steven character. You can’t be an advocate for equality if you’re not advocating for all equality. With your transphobic feelings, it seems like you’re just taking part in lateral violence within the LGBTTQQIAP community. We get enough bullshit from the heterosexual and cisgendered community, we don’t need any from ourselves.

However, I think Steven’s point is somewhat moot considering this photo of Katy Perry seems to be much more about transgender equality than homosexual equality. Just saying.

I’m just confused as to why you’re uncomfortable around transgender people, Steven. That’s like saying you’re uncomfortable around black people. Or women. Or blind people. Or blue-eyed people. I just don’t get it…

Also can we just move on? Katy Perry is no ally. That’s been made clear.
